There are four lists on the Input form that are automatically updated whenever you add, delete or edit any information in the database. The lists are: -

Artist

Genre

Label

Country

Format

These lists should reflect what is actually in the database. There should be no entries entered in these lists that don’t actually exist in the database. For example there should be no artists in the artist list that don’t exist in the database.

If you think one of the lists is out of sync with the database you can rebuild it. The rebuild process will delete all entries from the list and then check the whole database to rebuild the entries.

NOTE: For a large database that has thousands of entries this process may take some minutes. To stop the process, click on the Stop Rebuilding button. If you stop the rebuild before it has completed, the list(s) will be in an unknown state. You should do a list rebuild as soon as possible.

To rebuild a list select the one you want from the Utilities drop-down menu on the Main Menu screen. You will then be asked if you want to continue, click on Yes to start the process. There is a progress bar that will show the status of the rebuild process.

To rebuild all the lists click on ‘Rebuild All’ from the Utilities drop-down menu.
