Newer databases have extra fields. You may not be able to save or search for certain information in a database if you don’t have the latest database file. You can test the currently opened database to check to see if it is the latest version.

From the Main Menu screen, click on the Utilities drop-down menu at the top and select ‘Test Database Version’. A message will be displayed telling you whether the database file is at the latest version.

What To Do If The Database Isn’t At The Latest Level

• Download the latest BlankMCD.mdb database file from the patches web

page.

• Replace your existing blank database file with the one downloaded.
  
  
• Create a new database, this should be at the latest level and contain any new fields.
  
  
• Import from an existing database in to the one you have just created.
  
  
• Test that you can add and save any new information.
