You can compact the currently opened database, by selecting Compact from the File drop-down menu on the Main Menu screen. The database file will now be compacted and a message will be displayed giving details of the file size before and after the compaction. A compacted database will run faster so it is a good idea to compact your databases. The database will increase in size when you add, delete or edit any entries in the database.
