The Program file (exe file) is 14MB. A blank database file is 200KB. A fully populated database file is about 9MB. The download file is about 9.5MB, this also includes other system files that may be needed to run the Program.

The Program will run on any reasonable system. Adequate disk space is required for the above files and extra will be need for large print jobs associated with the Program. The faster your PC the better, certain functions within the Program may be slow if the  database is large and your PC slow.

Each database can hold up to 23,325 records, each record has

Total Duration(of all tracks). Enter this yourself or get the Program to total all the track durations.                                                                         Spare Field - defined by the user
The spare field can also be used to input a date.

The Artist field is mandatory and must have information entered
all other fields are optional.


The program is optimised for these screen resolutions:-

600 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024
With Version 3 and above - 1440 x 900, 1280 x 800, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 600.

If your screen is running at a different resolution it may still display OK. You can download a trial version and check to see if everything is displayed OK.

The Program includes two demo databases, all British Number ones from 1952 - 1972 and all Eurovision winners.  Share any databases you create with other music fans. Send them to us and we will put them on our web site for free download. Check the patches page on our web site for the latest databases. You can easily merge other Music Collector databases into one database, so it’s quicker for several users to enter parts of a database then merge them into one complete database.
