Instructions To Download The Geocache Log Program

Note: The exe file you need to download in the process detailed below is a self extracting WinZip file. If you have anti-virus or firewall software running it may detect the exe file as a possible harmful file which it is not. The files needed to install this Program have been scanned with the latest anti-virus software, for your own peace of mind it is adviseable to scan them again with your own virus software after the WinZip file has been unzipped (after step 6 below).

1. Create a folder on your PC. This folder can have any name, it will contain the           files needed to install the Geocache Log Program.

2. Click on the Free Download button on the left of the previous page.(Please           read the disclaimer above first).

3. You will need to download the exe file. Select the folder you created in step 1.

4. Wait for the download to complete. Open the folder you created in step 1.

5. You should now see the exe file. Right click on this file, select WinZip and then       select ‘Extract To Here’.

6. The files will now be unzipped.

7.   When the unzip operation has completed find the file setup.exe and double              click on it.

8.   Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Program.

9.   If you have installed the Program as per the default instruction, you should             now see Geocache Log under Programs. (Click on the Start button and select         Programs).

10. Start the Program. On the Main Menu screen select Help from the drop-down          menu at the top of the screen. Now select New User -  this will give you basic        instructions to get you started.
